Who we are

The Jericho Road Church community walks in the way of Jesus as a lay-led community by loving and worshiping God, loving and serving our neighbors, and intentionally loving and growing one another.  We do this to join God in His Mission to bring redemption, reconciliation, renewal, restoration, and transformation through Jesus Christ and His Kingdom on earth.

We gather for sacred feasting as we bring our whole selves to God in worship with communion, fellowship meal, scripture and prayer on Sunday evenings at 6pm.

contemplative practice

We share a sense of belonging and spend contemplative time together in informal gatherings on Thursday evenings at 7pm.

Love and Serve weekends

At JRC, we strive to serve as Jesus served. Every month we discern where the Lord is calling us and GO in obedience.

our name

In the Bible's book of Luke, Jesus tells a parable about a man who’s beaten, robbed, and left for dead along the Jericho Road, a narrow pathway running 18 miles through the wilderness between the city of Jericho and Jerusalem.

Soon after, on their way to worship in Jerusalem, a religious leader and a priest travel that same way and pass by the man.

But they choose not to get involved.

Eventually, Samaritan comes along who stops, picks the man up, bandages his wounds, brings him somewhere he can get well, and even pays the medical bills.

We are Jericho Road because we are committed to not passing by our neighbors; rather we are committed to responding to our neighbors’ needs, getting involved with love and service.
